The songs we were going to sing were Toia mia, Te Pou, Taiamai e, Rereinga Wirua, Ka kata nga purri o taiamai, Nga puawia ngapuhi.
I started thinking that I wanted to do Kapa Haka because my family was convinsing me to do Kapa Haka.

My Dad Is As...

Happy Fathers Day!
My dad works so hard like a roaring bear keeping our family safe from the big storm.
My dad is as snuggly as a warm polar bear cuddling me to sleep.
My dad is the best dad anyone could have, he is nice and generous.
My dad is as nice as an elephant giving me a shower with his big long trunk before I go to sleep!
My dad is as hungry as a big orange tiger hunting for food in the rainforest!
My dad is as funny as a clown holding an elephant on a ball and that elephant is juggling 10,000 tennis balls.
My dad is as funny as a gorilla tickling me!

Third, we did the trunks with our finger prints and paint. Fourth, we had a little piece of paper and had to paint them green, brown and yellow.
Fifth, we ripped all our little bits of paper up and glued them on to make the leaves.
Sixth, we painted the floor of the Kauri tree.
Seventh, we did the slogans to tell people what to do in the forest by the Kauri trees.

My Hot Air Balloon

This week we have used a picture as motivation for our writing. We had a story starter and then we
had to carry on the story. What I like about my writing is that I am using fullstops and capital letters.

I need to improve on making sure it is making senes.
We also made a google draw showing the things that we would take with us in on the balloon

Map, cheese, donut, bucket, pillow, blanket, first aid kit,
toothbrush, green apple, red apple all the things. I feel worried and a
bit excited because I have never been in one before.  Also nervous
that I might fall out and that I might get cloud sick from the clouds.
The clouds looked as soft as a teddy bear. I heard the clouds going
puff, puff. I saw the flames. I saw them popping up like grass coming out.
We were all going around the humongous world down below us.
I took my mum and dad with me. I looked down I could see the tiny little world, it
was so small all the people looked like tiny specks of of dark black ants.
I couldn’t quite see my amazing house. "Good night," I said, but before
I could get to sleep I hear my mum and dad playing rock, paper, scissors.
Once they finished I quickly tucked myself in bed. 15 minutes later I heard fart noises,
I opened up my eyes. Dad you're farting, I started laughing hard out.
I was shocked just to hear my dad say, “we have made it." "Yay,” we all said.
We couldn’t see any hot air ballons …………
”WE HAVE MADE IT WE’VE WON YAY!” we all said.
The End
