Sea Art

Last week we completed a collage. Our class named the art fish art. I painted bubble wrap blue for background then made sea creatures and seaweed. I stuck the seaweed & the sea creatures on and that was it. Here it is!

Coopers Beach Camp Term 4 2019

Last week we went on our camp at Coopers Beach, there were many activities to choose from like the water slide, obstacle course, beach, rock pools, fishing &  trampoline. Everything was very fun, I can't choose my favourite but if I had to it would be the water slide! Here are some photos!

Maths Problem Solving

We have been learning to solve problems with multiplication and division. Here are some problems I solved this week. I used screencastify to show my thinking.

Waitangi Digital Learning

On tuesday the year 4's went to Waitangi to do some digital learning using Scratch and Unpluggled activitys. My Favourite activity was the Unplugged activities used with lego!

The Musical Instruments

Team Awa made instruments using recycled rubbish. I made drums using a Milo tin, can lids, cable ties, metal drum sticks, pipe cleaners and vivid. Here are my drums.

Bridge Building

We have been learning about forces and how they help shape the sort of bridges that we build. 

We learned that there are three main types of bridge design; beam, truss and suspension.  

Using this knowledge we designed and built our own bridges.  

Miss Fletcher set the challenge that our bridges had to be 30 cm long and strong enough to hold an object.  

In my group there was Mikayla and Olivia.  

We used egg cartons cardboard ice block sticks paper towels to build our bridge.  Here is a photo of our truss bridge.  

What I like best about our bridge is how we drew the road.
